Advanced Writing for Use in Technical Professions - Term Paper
Information Systems Design and Development

At Northeastern University, it is required for all students in the College of Computer and Information Science to complete an advanced technical writing course in their third year of school. The topic had to be something related to my major. The deliverables included a 20-30 page paper as well as a class presentation. I chose to write on the topic of guidelines for web interface design. To read the abstract and conclusion of my paper, see the link below. The full version of the paper is available by request only.

System Redesign Group Project I/O Screens
Information Systems Design and Development

The project for this class was to select an existing information system and modify or redesign it (in theory) to increase efficiency, effectiveness and usability, while following all the steps of the project lifecycle. It was a group project, and my group chose to redesign the scheduling system for RSO (see nu rso). During the interface design stage, I used the interface from the web site which I'd already made, and added artificial content to represent the components of the system we designed during the first stages of our project.
